Patch 1.2 was supposed to have fixed this but it still happens - as this is probably the third time I've seen this problem posted here. The only solution is to load a save before solving the puzzle without the last piece in inventory.

Greetings, I finished Drakensang River of time few days ago and because I really loved it I bought also this and I would like to ask you for advice, I like to play for mages (battle mages are great) so i played battle-mage in drakensang river of time, but now I would like to try out something different (but with magic).
Drakensang: The Dark Eye and it's pre/sequel Drakensang: The River of Time, play a lot like DAO, and while the world/story are obviously different, are very well written and interesting. The Dark Eye is one year older than DAO, so it's not as polished a game, but it's still fun to play through, and River of Time introduces many improvements.
